Summer 2018
Just a quick life update. I am filled to the brim with conflicting emotions as I am not returning to Fort Monroe this summer. I fell in love with Hampton and Newport News and the camaraderie of my coworkers. I want to cry. But I couldn't turn down a position in the mountains where I can dust off the Biology part of my brain. I was born in WV, and the mountains call me. I have long dreamed of getting back to them and away from the coast. My heart doesn't live at the beach.
I was offered a seasonal position on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 85.6. I accepted and am now involved in a stress-filled and frustrating search for housing. As stres

(Portraying them visually is another story, since my artistic skill is not on par with my imagination.) I've seen other writers/creators describe original characters as "beautiful" or "attractive," which are hollow and subjective adjectives, imo. I end up picturing them as cookie-cutter highly photoshopped magazine models. (I have seen both male and female protagonists described in various glamorous terms. For men, it's usually rugged, muscular, etc.) My best guess is it comes down to wish-fulfillment, pa
UB Characters Write the Ending
This random thing passed through my mind, and I found it amusing. I pummeled the 4th wall to let six of my characters plan the ending to their story. Oddly enough, I came up with theoretical endings of my own multiple times in the past. After every few hundred pages, I had an idea for a conclusion. I never wrote them down. I do have ideas for “season finales” but no “series finale” yet. (Although I do know some super big secrets and reveals that don’t have a place yet.) Without further ado, my characters writing their endings:
