Description

A look at "love" in Used Books over the years. (Left out touching sibling, friend, and parent relationships. Got plenty of those too. ;) )

The score:

Kaida is divorced. Her first romantic partner was technically her boss Raidon, who also proposed to her (never got an answer). She and Fudo were married for five years. Toyo is a close friend; he took her on a few "friend dates." Kaida has an "admirer" (creepy stalker/serial killer) named Valentine. Raidon has not spoken to her in a while because of pressure from his boss. Fudo is a fugitive. Kaida currently avoids "relationships" for obvious reasons.

Yuki is not the "steady" type. She has spent the story trading off loser/criminal boyfriends. Yuki was once engaged to a police officer named Luke who was killed by a sniper before their wedding. She currently lives with her best friend since childhood Brad, who confessed that he has crush on her. Brad may not be happy with the "just friends" situation. Yuki may not be either, but she's working on her own issues.

Seiko spent her youth buried in academics and avoiding social situations. She started confiding in Tristan shortly after they met, and the two of them became inseparable. Eventually, they managed to put feelings into words and call themselves a couple now. Seiko met a former student, Eric, who confessed that he had a crush on her, but despite having a great deal in common, they discovered no real chemistry. Seiko is currently dating Tristan.

Other UB couples (in the collage) include: Toyo and Celes who share a rather casual physical arrangement. Ricky and Brigit, married with a baby on the way. Mike and Mina, who have weathered some rough drama; Mina is currently abroad.
