Character design Jack

A rough sketch to help me focus an upcoming story. We have seen a glimpse of the crime syndicate in my webcomic, Used Books. Raidon, supervisor of the assassin branch, is seen in numerous arcs as he attempts to reconnect with one of the main characters a former employee and (perhaps only in HIS mind) love interest. Other branches of the syndicate have been mostly unrepresented and not that important to the story thus far. There is a branch that deals with gambling operations as well as a group of skilled chemists and other scientists and a small group of skilled computer hackers.

Jack is the head of a group of thieves. His purpose revolves strongly around making sure UNorganized crime stays low or at least answers to him. Jack recruits the most skilled thieves and puts them to work keeping the crime moderated and using it as a tool to promote syndicate purposes (calculated moves for both financial and psychological control). Two of the secondary characters once worked under Jack including Celes, who was a former racecar driver sold by her father to cover debts, and Toyo who was a magician-turned-safe-cracker. Jack enjoys celebration and drink and considers his crew as a fraternity, so most of them like him. Jack is also ruthless and considers all his men expendable. If one is not performing well, he will happily shoot the offender and then buy another round of drinks.

I am currently working out designs for some other syndicate branch leaders as well.
